What is a sight tape and do you need one?

A sight tape is a printed strip you attach to your single-pin slider sight. Instead of having multiple fixed pins for 20, 30, 40 yards, you have one pin and a tape that tells you where to slide it for any distance. The tape is calculated from your bow's actual arrow speed and your sight's radius measurement, so every mark is mathematically precise for your specific setup.

You need a sight tape if you shoot a single-pin moveable sight. A generic tape from the manufacturer won't be accurate for your arrow speed. A custom tape takes two minutes to generate and lasts all season.
